Abatement and Cable Removal
We can handle abatement as well as network cabling installation.
When closing (or decommissioning) an office or business, it is important to remove all the cabling. This process is known as cable abatement. Many factors determine when cabling must be removed, including local fire or building codes and in many instances the terms of your lease.
The Horizon Electronics team is here to help make the cable abatement process easy as possible for you and your organization.
Our Process:
Horizon Electronics will help create an abatement plan including the scope of the project, the building details, and the proper disposal of the cables.
Line Verification & Removal
We will remove only the necessary lines in multi-tenant offices by assessing and determining if the lines are shared or owned by other building tenants. The cabling will be removed with accuracy and in accordance with all local building codes.
Our standard removal process may involve:
-
- Cutting cables at the conduit stubs
- Removing all cable back to the MDF
- Removing or blanking out faceplates
- Cleaning up any residual mess
- Taking before and after photos of our work
Disposal
Horizon Electronics takes pride in working with local reputable companies to dispose of any recyclable materials in the most environment-friendly possible.
